Program Description

Body

Join us for an evening event focused on how to build the best resume for you - one that reflects your skills and abilities, and that is aimed at the fields you're most interested in. Presenter Bernard Metro, formerly of PAPEN (the Pennsylvania Professional Employment Network) will be exploring how employers process resumes.

This will be a 90 minute session covering guidance for content, writing style, and skills lists targeted to job descriptions.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a draft to mark-up in the workshop segment.  The lecture will cover the application-resume processing engines, and focus on how keyword content is critical to ensuring your resume is seen by a person with hiring authority.  Also mentioned will be a list of resume preparing services, both free and paid professionals.
