Let’s Talk About Palestine

The situation in the region has seen rapid, violent developments, and seems poised for more. What are the current obstacles to peace there? This presentation will provide a context for the present situation.  Obstacles to peace such as the right of return, settlements, and the restriction of movement will be illustrated through pictures as well as through the stories of Palestinians living there.

Tina Whitehead, a graduate of Duquesne University, lived part of each year in Jerusalem from 2006 to 2020. She has taught courses on Palestine with the Osher program at both Pitt and CMU since 2009 and has spoken of her experiences to churches throughout the U.S.
