Program Description

Body

To celebrate spooky season, join us for an after-hours showing of Alien, hosted by our Sci-Fi Book Club!

After investigating a mysterious transmission of unknown origin, the crew of a commercial spacecraft encounters a deadly life-form. Considered to be one of the greatest and most influential science fiction and horror films of all time, its legacy has included additional movies, comic books, video games, novels, and a television show. The creatures and environments were designed by famed Swiss artist HR Giger.

This is an after-hours event for adults. Those under 18 can only attend with a parent or guardian.

Sci-Fi Book Club is one of Monroeville Public Library's many book clubs. They beam up, phase in, fold space, time travel, jump to light speed, begin a quest, survive the apocalypse, or whatever it takes to gather to discuss science fiction, both classic and modern.
