We've all heard of legendary events like the Roswell UFO, legendary places like Shangri-la or legendary creatures like Bigfoot. What about our local myths and legends? Various legends unique to Western Pennsylvania will be discussed, including: Joe Magarac, the Green Man, Western PA’s very own UFO mystery, and General Braddock and his missing gold.
Frank Kordalski, Jr. is currently the Archivist for the Allegheny Foothills Historical Society, and he has authored two books thus far: Images of America: Plum Borough and Images of America: Old Versailles Township. Frank also frequently lectures as part of the Continuing/Community Education Departments of both Westmoreland County Community College and CCAC.
