Step back in time and explore the rich traditions, knowledge, and daily life of local Native American cultures. This immersive educational program features an authentic display of regional Native American artifacts, offering a tangible connection to the people who once inhabited the land.
Participants will witness demonstrations of primitive tools and weapons, learning how they were crafted and used for hunting, crafting, and survival. Through interactive sessions, guests will gain insight into traditional food acquisition skills, including foraging, hunting, and food preparation techniques vital to sustaining native communities. The program also highlights how a respect for nature formed the foundation of Native American life.
This engaging, hands-on experience deepens understanding and appreciation of Indigenous heritage, connecting history, culture, and skill in an unforgettable way.
Presenters Eric Reger and Angelo Testa are PA certified science teachers through the PA Dept. of Education, certified Hunter/Trapper Education instructors through the PA Game Commission, and certified fishing guides through the PA Fish and Boat Commission.
